Coach Dave Daubenmire, I like his style, and boy has he ever hit the nail on the head. The pulpit of the church is not for WIMPS. Pastors must tell the truth no matter what the consequences may be. Sin is sin, period, no matter who is committing it. We can not soft sell the gospel of Jesus Christ. Christ didn’t. Read Matthew 23:27 and Matthew 10:34. Christ wasn’t some hippie preaching man centered love all the time. He was a real man, our example of boldness and courage. We have the truth and the Holy Spirit of God, why would we ever fear the counterfeit power of man?

I agree with Charles Finney: “If there is a decay of conscience, the pulpit is responsible for it. If the public press lacks moral discernment, the pulpit is responsible for it. If the church is degenerate and worldly, the pulpit is responsible for it. If the world loses its interest in Christianity, the pulpit is responsible for it. If Satan rules in our halls of legislation, the pulpit is responsible for it. If our politics become so corrupt that the very foundations of our government are ready to fall away, the pulpit is responsible for it.” Read on.

IMPERIAL RELIGION HATES JESUS

I was recently dismayed by the sudden realization that there could be pockets of population, however small, whom I have not yet managed to offend. Herewith I hasten to apologize for that discrepancy and to assuage my embarrassment, by explaining the madness that for a century and a half has been dismantling our civilization, camouflaging itself as true Christianity.

The “Abolitionist” movement that provoked Lincoln’s Communist War to Destroy the Union is a good place to start. At this distance it is easy to see that the “Abolitionists” extruded a species of madness, a fanatic mania personified by lunatics like John Brown, who fastened onto Negro slavery as a vehicle to express it.

Had there never been Negro slavery in our country, their madness would have fastened onto something else, and in fact it has, as we shall see. For a taste of what I am talking about, see Otto J. Scott, The Secret Six: John Brown and the Abolitionist Movement (New York, NYT Times Books, 1979), a brilliant exposition of the problem.

The messianic mania these monsters fomented eventually led to the destruction of the federal union the nation’s Founders had bequeathed them. It effectively centralized governmental power and has inspired one horror after another. Today it is close to finishing our system off completely. I said above that it camouflages itself as true Christianity. What is the difference? If it isn’t Christianity, what is it?

You can see an expression of the difference at Manassas. The Yankees literally rode out from Washington to picnic, with refreshments in baskets the ladies had prepared. It would be an afternoon’s entertainment. They would teach the Southerners a lesson and end the rebellious charade. They didn’t know that, at Manassas, Jackson – the Immortal – would stand like a stone wall. They didn’t know the Southerners would send them fleeing in disorder.

The Yankees call it a “Civil” War. Of course, it was not. Had it been a civil war – a war for control of the “general government” – Jackson would have and easily could have pursued the fleeing rabble back to town, seized it, restored the Union and thrown our first Communist President into jail, where he belonged. Our next President, Robert E. Lee, would have arranged his trial.

But they did not. Instead, Jackson, a true Christian, turned aside. A true Christian is modest; he believes in minding his own business, in live and let live. My speculation is that after Manassas the Southerners hoped and believed that the newly chastened Yankees would share their belief and leave them alone to enjoy their own lives in their own country. Later, after it was too late, when Lee – another Immortal – realized what he had been fighting, he said that, had he known, he would have fought to the last man.

So, what is the difference? It lies in the satanic belief that one can improve upon God, that man can do a better job than Jesus. Scripture tells us Jesus did it “all,” a little word with a big meaning. “All” means everything. It means there is nothing else beside it. You can walk all around all, but you will find nothing hanging out, no loose ends. If Jesus really did it “all,” as scripture says, no one can do any more. If the job requires nailing in the only six nails you have, and someone else has nailed them all in, nothing more can be done.

What did and does Jesus do? He saves. He saved us from our sin by becoming sin Himself. Nothing more need be done or can be done. He gives the blessing of eternal life to those the Father gave Him before the foundation of the world. It’s done before you ever show up. You don’t need to accept. You don’t need to decide. Jesus says He won’t lose even one He has been given. What could you decide? If Jesus says you’re His, you are His. Could you overrule Him? Remember, God is doing all this – created you, me and the universe – for His own pleasure. It’s not about us; it’s about God and His glory.

Yes, you can ruin your life completely in the world. You can never go to church. You can be stupid. You can ruin your health. You can even become a nasty drunk and beat your kids. You probably won’t though, because if God chose you before the foundation of the world, by your fruit will we know you.

Speaking for myself, I was much too stupid to arrange my own salvation, much too stupid to “accept” or “decide.” The thought that I could have done it on my own is preposterous and, frankly, scares the Hell out of me. Had the Lord not done it for me, I would still be doing things “My Way,” still dead in stupidity, and God would not have brought me the Love Priestess. Where do I get all this? I read it in the Book.

But some folks don’t like it. Before he was caught with the wrong sporting woman (not a man, thank God), one celebrity preacher used to call it a “hellish doctrine,” fearing that somebody who loves the Lord may not be chosen, which would be unjust. But remember that without Jesus, you are dead in sin. You can’t choose Him; He chooses you. The fact that you love the Lord proves He put that love there, proves you are one of His. If you want it, you already have it. Look at the ravening atheists presently trying to destroy Christianity. They boast they want no part of it and the Lord takes them at their word. There is no “injustice.”

If you believe this, you know that God gave us the Gospel not to “save souls,” but rather to guide and comfort the children He has chosen, the children He has already saved, and that He chooses preachers to pass the word along. They can save no one. Yes, that means someone who has never cracked the Bible and has never heard of Jesus Christ could still be one of His, if that is His pleasure.

But a celebrity preacher with a national television show once told me proudly, “I save 30,000 souls a month!” Man, that’s a thousand souls a day! If a mere man can save that many souls a day, do we really need Jesus? Needless to say, a man who can save that many souls in just one day is a celebrity, whose name could adorn a ministry, even a meeting hall. On the contrary, a preacher who knows he saves no one, and that the Lord simply called him from the congregation to spread His word is not.

From the ranks of such celebrity preachers – who, however much they pretend otherwise, believe Jesus did not do it all – come men like the “Abolitionists,” with a mission to “improve” upon God. They “improve” upon God in eternity, and they “improve” upon God here, in the Kingdom God gave us while we still inhabit these corruptible, unresurrected bodies.

So it is that the maniacal “Abolitionist” spirit, having washed its hands like Pilate of happily departed Negro slavery, at the cost of more casualties than in any other of our wars, now plunges into every corner of your private life; indeed, into every corner of the world, however remote, to “improve” it. This in part is the origin of the liberaloid frenzy that is presently pulling the nation apart. It is an attempt to “improve” upon God, motivated by the same rebellion that inspires Satan.

And since today’s “Abolitionists” are motivated by Satan and are not God – many have tried, like Tiberius, to be God, but only God can handle it – their “improvements” of the Kingdom turn out to be satanic horrors. Look at their fruit. They have killed many more babies than all our casualties in all our wars. By killing all these babies, they are “improving” the lot of women.

They are incapable of minding their own business. Everywhere you look, they are minding yours or someone else’s. They invade other nations for their own good to impose a form of government the natives don’t want, however many of our own men they kill and maim in the process. They utterly pervert the Christianity in which they claim to believe. They want to know everything you do and control it.

They are as fanatical as the jihadists they oppose. They illegally insert women into combat. They already are desperately short of experienced military personnel. When they hit Iran, they will certainly resurrect the military draft, including women, which will be the next installment in their campaign to destroy the family and collapse our civilization on the way to world government, their version of the Kingdom.

It is an intriguing historical fact that many of the new-fangled denominations founded to “improve” the original Bible message were started for that purpose around the middle of the Nineteenth Century, which also saw the beginning of the Communist horror that also claims to do a better job in the Kingdom than God. The Federal, National and World Councils of Churches were also in bed with the Reds.

Remember that God used to rule directly, through His judges. The children rebelled and offended Him, demanding an earthly King, so they could be like everyone else. God warned them what earthly government would do, but they insisted, so God graciously stepped aside and gave them Saul. Government was their punishment for rebelling against God. And Guess what? It all worked out as God had said. Amazing! How could God know?

Liberaloids in the church are still in rebellion. Their names adorn their ministries where they compete to “save souls,” and they love big government, the bigger the better, because government is the weapon they employ to “improve” the Kingdom, to “improve” upon God. That is why they applaud as government graduates illiterate drug zombies from the nation’s Communist schools and destroys our privacy. They worship el presidente Jorge W. Boosh, because Jorge – they think – is the king God appointed.

Completely ignoring scripture from beginning to end, they teach that Romans 13 says we must obey government no matter what it does; no matter how much government itself disobeys the mandate assigned it by God, no matter what He did to Jezebel. In Nazi Germany, they even wore black Nazi uniforms and heiled Hitler at big church meetings. Today they say in effect that God is a Nazi, or that He is maybe George Bush.

“All” is not lost. More and more Christian parents are joining an Exodus from the Communist government schools. I suggest that celebrity Christian leaders either find other work or return to the church, start worshipping Jesus and defend our inalienable right to mind our own business.

Few Americans understand the Faustian dilemma awaiting their children with the federal deficit now at $8.7 trillion. Mr. Bush raised the federal debt level to nearly $10 trillion. On an individual level, if you earned $50,000.00 a year, but ran up your credit card debt to $500,000.00 a year, how would you pay for your financial liability? Answer: you couldn’t. Bankruptcy becomes your only option. However, what happens when an entire country bankrupts?

The dollar’s value falls world wide. Our annual trade deficit exceeds $700 billion. Our manufacturing base vanishes with millions of U.S. jobs outsourcing overseas. Our government must borrow $2 billion daily to keep our economy afloat. Unbeknownst to most Americans, their tax dollars pay in excess of $400 million daily to pay the interest on the federal debt.

Governor Lamm said, “I have participated in the greatest embezzlement in all of history. In my seventy plus years, I have never seen such a perfect crime.

“Like most other master criminals, I am heady with success and feel a need to brag. I kid you not – never before has one group appropriated as much money that belonged to another group in the history of crime.

Islam expert: Europe well on the way to ‘Islamization’

A best-selling author and leading expert on Islam says that religion is well on its way to taking control of Europe — and he’s afraid that widespread violence may break out as a result.

In his new book, Religion of Peace? Why Christianity Is and Islam Isn’t, Robert Spencer, who is director of Jihad Watch, says that the war on terror is in fact a struggle against an Islamic jihad that would conquer and subjugate Western non-Muslims. He also asserts that Islam is well on its way to taking over Europe because the population has been silent for too long.

“It looks as if the problem as advanced far beyond the point of any kind of peaceful or easy resolution,” he explains. “Europe is either going to acquiesce in its Islamization and in the imposition of Islamic Sharia law, or its going to degenerate into large-scale conflict between non-Muslims who do not want to be quietly Islamized and the Muslim communities in Europe.”

I had to read this article twice to be sure it was in reference to American Military personal. It sounds more like something you would find behind the bamboo curtain. Prasie God though that these men were willing to speak out about their faith.

Top Pentagon Officers Face Discipline for Endorsing Christianity

Seven high-ranking officers, including four generals, could face discipline for what the Pentagon considers their promotion of Christianity.
Maj. Gen. Jack Catton of the U.S. Air Force offers a testimonial in a promotional video for the Christian Embassy, a Washington-based Christian group.
The Pentagon inspector general found the seven officers to be engaged in misconduct when they appeared in a promotional fundraiser video for the evangelical group Christian Embassy three years ago, according to OneNewsNow.

Christian Embassy was founded by the late Dr. Bill Bright of Campus Crusade for Christ and ministers to diplomats, government leaders and military officers. The ministry holds prayer meetings each Wednesday morning at the Pentagon.

The officers were said to be in uniform at the Pentagon when they expressed military approval and support of the evangelical ministry in the video, according to The Associated Press.

The report said none of the officers asked for or received approval from superiors and recommended “appropriate corrective action” to be considered against them, according to AP.

A retired Army officer who had also attended the Christian Embassy Wednesday prayer meeting believes it’s hypocritical for the Pentagon to consider disciplinary action against the officers.

“There have been others in very senior positions, both in and out of uniform, who have gone to some of these Islamic centers and have bent over backwards to accommodate Islamists,” said retired U.S. Army Lt. Col. Bob Maginnis to OneNewsNow Friday.

He pointed to the Deputy Secretary of Defense Gordon England who in early June joined the dedication of a new Islamic prayer center at the Quantico Marine Corps Base.

“[A]s far as I’m concerned, [he was] giving tacit endorsement of Islam just by his presence and making a formal visit,” said Maginnis. “And if he can’t tolerate a few generals and admirals stating, because they’re Christians, they think it’s a good idea that you promote Bible studies and Christian speakers into the Pentagon, I find that hypocritical and certainly an unfortunate circumstance.”

Maginnis thinks that the group Military Religious Freedom Foundation might be behind the pressure to investigate the officers.

“This is an ACLU-type hit on the Pentagon insisting that the inspector general conduct an investigation to get to the bottom of whether or not generals improperly used their influence with regard to a particular ministry,” he said.

The officers currently still face potential discipline for violating ethics rules by helping Christian Embassy.

Christians are being forced from their homes in Iraq right under the noses of American security forces. Either America must plan on staying on to police Iraq with a great many more forces than it now has there or there will be constant turmoil in Iraq, until another insane power hungry tyrant takes over. This is another no win situation for America and we must count our loses, get out, and quit trying to secure the rest of the world for so called democracy, while stopping aiding and abetting tyrannical, socialist nations. America’s foreign policy, for the past several decades, has been predicated on establishing a One World Order with a few elite men in control of an international system that eliminates nation states. We must wake up and let our current elected officials know of our opposition and then elect men to office who will stand strictly on Biblical principles of nation to nation relations, or we, the citizens of America will become the citizens of a new Tower of Babel.

Exodus of Christians hits Baghdad district
Ex-residents say US response to purge was lacking

BAGHDAD — The two men knocked on Abu Salam’s door on a Friday morning. He was one of the last remaining Christians on his block.

“Peace be upon you,” they said, and Abu Salam, a man in his 50s, repeated the greeting.
The pair, one fat and the other thin, spoke politely. Both were clean-shaven and wore slacks and button-down shirts.
“You are now aware the neighborhood of Muwallamin belongs to the Islamic State of Iraq,” the bigger man said. “We have three conditions you can accept: You can pay a tax, become a Muslim, or you can leave your house and we will help you take out your furniture.”
“We’ll let you make up your mind.”
“Peace be upon you,” the men repeated as Abu Salam watched them head back toward the street.
Within hours, Abu Salam and his family left their neighborhood of more than 50 years. They joined an exodus that has all but emptied Dora, a large district in south Baghdad, of its once-thriving Christian population.
Abu Salam, who spoke on condition that his real name not be used, citing fears for his safety, is staying elsewhere in Baghdad for now.
“People will leave if things don’t get better. It is chaos,” he said. “If there is no imminent solution, Iraq is finished.”
Christian leaders say 500 families left Dora in April and May. The US military concedes that a large number of Christians were uprooted but says the number is not that high. The United Nations’ refugee agency said it counted at one location 100 families that had fled Dora.
The flight of Dora’s Christians is an example of how the initial phase of the US security crackdown has failed to establish security and stop sectarian purging in Baghdad’s neighborhoods.
The US military conducted a major clearing operation in Dora last fall, then largely pulled out, turning security over to Iraqi forces. Sunni Arab militants with ties to Al Qaeda in Iraq quickly reestablished themselves and late last year began harassing Christians. A second US sweep in early winter failed to loosen the militants’ grip on the district.
In interviews, displaced Christians described a civilian population too terrified of Al Qaeda to ask Americans for help. They said that even after the Baghdad troop buildup started in February, US soldiers were rarely present in some neighborhoods and often had no idea what to look for.
Major Kurt Luedeke, the US military spokesman for Dora, said US officials were caught off guard by the campaign against Christians in the area.
“We knew it was going on; we just didn’t know how widespread it was,” he said.
Iraq’s senior Christian politician, Younadam Kanna, said the military didn’t launch an offensive against militants in Dora until May 25, although the campaign to drive out the district’s Christians had begun in earnest in late April.
“There weren’t enough forces,” Kanna said. “The multinational forces are isolated from the people. . . . They don’t know who is who.”
In response to the mass displacements, the US military has strengthened its presence in the area. In a bid to contain Al Qaeda supporters and prevent further neighborhood purges, the US Army has erected concrete barriers and walled off certain streets.
Troops are surveying every home, collecting photographs, fingerprints, and retinal scans of all military-age males. With the additional troops, the US Army says it can patrol every neighborhood in Dora, sometimes several times a day.
The Christian community’s troubles in Dora began in autumn 2004, when Sunni militants bombed churches and kidnapped people. But Christians’ lives took the sharpest turn for the worse in October after Al Qaeda and allied groups declared an Islamic State of Iraq.
By January, the Islamic State’s proclamations appeared on walls and were circulated in leaflets. Dora residents said some of the fliers proclaimed that women were required to wear veils; shorts were banned; trousers were forbidden for men; and cellphones were prohibited for women.
“They issued laws and decrees like a real state,” said Wardiya Yussef, who left Dora in April after a cousin was shot on the street.
As Al Qaeda supporters asserted their muscle, Iraqis were reluctant to give information to the Americans. It was a bitter reversal from the period last fall when military sweeps in Dora had briefly restored stability. In that regard, too, Dora fits a broader pattern in which civilians have watched US troops come and go, seldom staying long enough to establish lasting security.
That lack of constancy has bedeviled US efforts in Iraq, said Stephen Biddle, a military analyst at the Council on Foreign Relations.
“Until local civilians come to believe that you’ll be there long enough to protect them from reprisals, and that you’re stronger than the militants . . . they won’t trust you well enough to risk offering tips and information.”

This article by Mr. Peters says a great deal about Christianitys demise around the world. We are not fanatics for Christ. We have lost that faith unto death.We fear death and are not willing to sacrifice our lives for the Kingdom of God. I am not talking about an armed revolution, I’m referring to the battle of faiths. The church has become timid and has lost it’s zeal for Christ. It is too busy syncretizing with the world instead of opposing it. And others sit idly by waiting to be raptured out of this evil world instead of overturning it. Fellow Christians we must meet this corrupt culture head on with God’s word, our two-edged sword, and cut it’s false ideas to shreds. We are at WAR! We must take our calling seriously and and storm the gates of hell trusting in God’s promise that hell’s gates shall not prevail against us. He has already won the victory for us on Calvary’s bloody cross. All we need do is be faithful and obedient to His word bringing all areas of our life into submission to Him. Evil seems to prevail because we have grown lazy and fat. We have been lulled to sleep by this world’s allurements. They are nothing but facades to take us out of the battle. WE MUST BECOME FANATICS FOR CHRIST OR AMERICA WILL BE TOSSED UPON THE HEAP OF DEAD AND FORGOTTEN NATIONS.

June 19, 2007 — HAMAS won its shut-out victory in Gaza with alarming ease.
And the reason Hamas won is even more alarming: Fanaticism trumps numbers.

You’ll hear no end of explanations for the terrorist triumph: Hamas was
backed by Iran; Gaza is Hamas’ base of support; some Fatah units ran out of
ammunition . . .

All true. And all secondary factors.

Fatah’s security forces in Gaza outnumbered the Hamas gunmen. Fatah had
stockpiles of weapons and military gear (now in Hamas’ arsenal). Fatah even
had the quiet backing of Israel and America.

And Fatah folded like a pup tent in a tornado.

Hamas won because its fighters are religious fanatics ready to die for their
cause. Fatah runs an armed employment agency under the banner of Palestinian
nationalism. Most of the latter’s security men are on the payroll because
relatives or ward pols got them jobs. And they want to stay alive to collect
their wages.

The result was predictable. Our government pretended otherwise. Now hairs
should be standing up on the backs of thousands of necks, from the White
House to the Green Zone.

Yes, Iraq is more complex than Gaza. But once you pierce the surface
turbulence and look deep, the similarities are chilling: Iraq’s security
forces do include true patriots – but most of the troops and cops just want
a job, or were ordered to join up by a sheik or a mullah, or are gathering
guns until their faction calls.

The al-Qaeda-in-Iraq terrorists, the core members of Muqtada al-Sadr’s Mahdi
Army and the hard-line Sunni ghazis are willing to die for the victory of
their faction and their faith. They believe they’re doing Allah’s will. It
gives them a strength we rush to explain away.

The raw numbers suggest that Iraq’s fanatics don’t stand a chance. The
government has a far greater numerical advantage than did Fatah. But numbers
often mislead analysts during insurgencies: Iraq’s government wouldn’t last
a week without U.S. troops.

The lesson from Gaza is that such wars are neither waged nor won by the
majority of the population. A tiny fraction of the populace, armed and
determined, can destroy a fragile government and seize power.

Polls showing that most Iraqis “want peace” and don’t support the extremists
only deceive us (because we want to be deceived). It wouldn’t matter if 99
percent of the Iraqis loved us like free falafel, if we’re unwilling to
annihilate the fraction of 1 percent of the population with the weapons and
will to dictate the future to the rest.

At the height of last week’s fighting in Gaza, one Palestinian in 300
carried a weapon in support of Hamas – a third of one percent of the
population. Now Hamas rules 1.5 million people.

Numbers still matter, of course. But strength of will can overcome hollow
numbers. And nothing – nothing – gives men a greater strength of will than
religious fanaticism.

We don’t want to hear it. Secular virtues were supposed to triumph. They
didn’t, but we still can’t let go of our dream of a happy-face, godless
world where nobody quarrels.

Our refusal to acknowledge the unifying – and terrifying – power of
extremist religion has deep roots. As academics rejected and derided faith
in the last century, even the Thirty Years’ War – the horrible climax of
Europe’s wars of religion – was reinvented as a dynastic struggle, or a
fight for hegemony, or a class struggle.

But the Thirty Years’ War was about faith. All the other factors were in
play, but the core issue, from the Protestant coup in Prague in 1618 to the
Peace of Westphalia in 1648, was religious identity. And the atrocities
committed on both sides make Iraq look like amateur hour: Wars of religion
always demand blood sacrifice. (It was a compromise of bloody exhaustion
that ended the Thirty Years War.)

Our problem is that, of those who rise in government, few have witnessed the
power of revelation or caught a life-changing glimpse of the divine. They
simply can’t imagine that others might be willing to die for all that
mumbo-jumbo. Our convenience-store approach to faith leaves us numb to the
passion of our enemies.

The true believer always beats the feckless attendee. The best you can hope
for is that the extremist will eventually defeat himself.

And that does leave us some hope: Fanatics inevitably over-reach, as al
Qaeda’s Islamo-fascists have done in Iraq, alienating those who once saw
them as allies. But the road to self-destruction can be a long one: The
people of Iran want change, but the fanatics have the guns. And sorry,
folks: Fanatics with guns beat liberals with ideas.

Faith is the nuclear weapon of the fanatic. And there’s not going to be a
religious “nuclear freeze.” It doesn’t matter how many hearts and minds you
win, if you don’t defeat the zealots with the muscles.

This is outrageous! Most Republicans voted against this unGodly legislation, but made little effort to oppose it. Where are the men of courage who are willing to stand against the Godless lobbies of fornicators?

All Christian families must remove their children from the synagogues of Satan we inappropriately call “public schools”. How long will you sacrifice your children to Molech and the worship humanism? And those of you who understand the ramifications of such Godless legislation must actively work and vote to replace those legislators who supported and voted this bill into law. We shall all be held accountable, by God, for allowing such blatant disregard for the law of God.

A controversial bill that bans bias against homosexuals, transgenders, and bisexuals in public schools was passed on Thursday by the California Senate, unleashing a wave of concern through those opposed to normalizing homosexuality.

SB 777 went through by a 23-13 vote, and would prohibit all classes, textbooks, and teachers from any instruction that “reflects or promotes bias against” those perceived with gender issues. All instructional materials and school activities would then have to positively portray all of these sexually alternative lifestyles, something many refuse to support.

Children starting from kindergarten would learn about the practices, as a result, and would be forced to accept them as socially acceptable, pro-family conservatives argue.

“SB 777 is designed to transform our public schools into institutions that disregard all notions of the traditional family unit,” said Karen England, executive director of Capitol Resource Institute (CRI), in a statement. “This reverse discrimination is an outright attack on the religious and moral beliefs of California citizens.”

Voting for the bill went strictly along party lines with Democrats in favor and Republicans opposed, passing a slim margin of three votes. No Republican senator made an address to oppose the legislation.

SB 777 is much like a previous bill that was passed in the last session of the California legislature, SB 1437, but was subsequently vetoed by Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger.

“Parents are angry at the Democrats for passing this school sexual indoctrination bill and frustrated that Republicans did little to fight it,” explained Randy Thomasson, president of Campaign for Children and Families (CCF), a California-based pro-family organization, in a statement. “We call on Arnold Schwarzenegger to pledge that he will respect parents, protect children, and veto this bad bill, just like he did last year.”

As part of the bill, which was authored by Senator Sheila Kuehl, a lesbian, the language also redefined what the word “gender” means, stating that “gender” means “sex” but that a person’s gender identity and related appearance can constitute “sex” despite the person’s assigned “sex” at birth. SB 777 also erased the current definition of “sex” from the education code, which originally defined it as the biological condition of being male or female.

Several parents, Christians and non-Christians, have voiced their concern over schools regulating what their children should think is acceptable. They feel their children should not be forced to support homosexuality and other non-traditional gender lifestyles as being normal and healthy.

“The notion of forcing children to support controversial sexual lifestyles is shocking and appalling to millions of fathers and mothers,” added Thomasson. “Parents don’t want their children taught to become homosexual or bisexual or to wonder whether they need a sex-change operation. SB 777 will shatter the academic purpose of education by turning every government school into a sexual indoctrination center.”

Under the bill, school districts must comply with the new standards or else they will be regulated by the California Department of Education. In addition, teachers do not need parental permission to teach about the subjects to their students.

According to CRI, the Los Angeles Unified School District has already implemented the policies in this bill.

“In that district, boys who perceive themselves as girls may enter the girls’ locker room and restroom,” described Meredith Turney, legislative liaison for CRI, in a statement. “Teachers and school officials are required to hide the gender identity of a transgender student if the parents are unaware of what’s taking place at school. This astonishing policy will be expanded to every school in the state if SB 777 becomes law.”

Students up to the twelfth grade would be affected by the bill.

Here is a good reason why all Christian parents need to take their children out of public schools, “Synagogues of Satan”, and put them in Christ centered Christian schools or home school them. Then, as you will see at the end of this article, you need to send your young adults, ages 15-24, to the West Coast Christian World View Conference so they can learn to take God’s word and apply it to all areas of life.

CHRISTIAN KIDS ARE TOO GENTLE TO LIVE AMONGST THE WOLVES

Churches are doing children a great disservice in not teaching them sound doctrine. Here’s a sobering fact the Church must come to grips with: Even children who are “churched” are woefully unprepared to “contend for the faith that was once for all entrusted to the saints” (Jude 1:3). This is a front-line issue, yet Church leaders and parents just don’t “get” how important it is to teach the younger generation how to defend their faith.

In the early Church the Apostle Paul faced this issue head on. He warns, “For the time will come when men will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear. They will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths” (2 Tim. 4:3-4). All of the Apostles had to deal with false teaching, Gnosticism in particular. For them getting it right was important!

What exactly is Church doctrine? It’s a set of core principles to be upheld by professing Christians. Doctrine both describes and teaches the will of God.

You ask, “Why should anyone care if doctrine’s being taught in the 21st Century contemporary Church?” The reason teaching doctrine is important is that liberal Christians think it doesn’t matter what you believe, as long as you label it Christianity. Mike Gendron explains that today the only test for becoming a Christian is “a simple acceptance of Jesus as a historical figure. In our postmodern church, doctrine is out and tolerance is in. We are told that for the sake of unity, doctrine should not be tested or contested. We are not supposed to draw any definitive lines or declare any absolutes. Doctrinal and moral issues which were once painted black and white, are now seen as gray. The state of the church is now in a state of confusion.”[1]

There’s nothing wrong with black and white thinking, especially when it comes to issues of faith. But the PC police bully people of faith into remaining in our gray toned comfort zones so that we don’t make waves or cause controversy. One of the biggest controversy avoiders on the planet is “evangelism’s hottest rising star” Joel Osteen. Prosperity preacher Osteen goes to great lengths to avoid controversial subjects like sin, judgment and hell. But I digress.

In order to discern false teaching (like Osteen’s) kids must be taught sound doctrine. For children to lead good moral lives they must have a firm grasp on what they believe about their faith and why they believe it. Those who aren’t prepared to answer hard questions experience personal doubt. Which is why, “Nothing is more important than seeding deep within the heart and mind of a child core Christian convictions like Jesus is God; The reasons we know Jesus Christ rose from the dead, why we should be convinced the Bible is a true and accurate revelation from beginning to end and the absolute truth that Jesus is the only way to God. Unless our children know these and other key doctrines revealed in the Bible, they will not be thoroughly equipped for every good work.”[3]

Sadly, kids who don’t know what they believe in often slip through the cracks and fall in with the me-focused-intent-only-on-pleasure land of the liberals. Incidentally, liberalism must be out and out rejected by serious Christians for the simple reason that proclaiming man’s self-sufficiency in the moral and social order denies God. Plus liberalism encourages freedom from all restraint in both speech and action, while Christianity encourages restraint in both speech and action. Because of its self-centered worldview, liberalism is incompatible with historic orthodox Christianity. (One can’t help but wonder why people of faith sat around twiddling their thumbs while a small number of secular progressives (SP’s) led our nation down the thorny path of materialism, decadence, and moral depravity.)

Speaking of people of faith, Christian parents are either ignorant of what the Bible teaches about morality, or they know perfectly well what the Bible says and they choose to imitate ungodly behavior and allow their children to do the same. Is it any wonder unbelievers call Christians hypocrites? Some Christians deserve that title! Jesus was not impressed with the hypocrites of His day. He called them “whitewashed tombs…full of dead men’s bones and everything unclean” (Mat. 23:27). Ouch!

Our government is in shambles. The Church is a dead mess. Parents are living for themselves instead of for their children, and children are suffering for it. Kids are battling the world, the flesh and the devil on all fronts. This is nothing new, of course. The battle for children’s minds has been raging since the beginning of time. Which is why the Bible warns parents to, “Train a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it” (Prov. 22:6). What is new, though, is that kids in Christian homes do not have both feet firmly planted in a biblical worldview. Their feet are planted in quicksand! Sorry to point the finger moms and dads, but YOU have dropped the ball. YOU have become negligent in preparing your kids for a life of service to God. And it’s not the Church’s fault. YOU are to blame.

With virtually no protection, kids are thrown to the wolves in sheep’s clothing that are teaching in liberal government schools. Yet these same parents would never allow their precious little ones on roller blades or skateboards without a helmet and protective padding.

May I have your attention, please! Christian children are too gentle to live amongst the wolves. We’re no longer living in the 50s – and we can’t go back there either. In light of that sad fact, God’s kids must be armed and ready for battle! (Read Ephesians 6:10-20

Christian kids attending government schools are at the mercy of agenda-driven educators that are firmly established in classrooms all across America. As a result, youngster’s impressionable minds are regularly conditioned with virulent anti-Christian propaganda. Facts are hard to ignore. A 2005 survey established that 72 percent of college faculty admits that they’re liberal.[4] So we shouldn’t be surprised when we hear that two-thirds of “born again” Christians who enter college emerge committed liberals and leave the Church.

SP’s have impacted society in ways no one would have thought possible fifty years ago. Who are these people? Mostly Marxists and socialists who would like to see America go the way of Western Europe. The SP movement is anti-God and wants religion out of the public square. They oppose traditional values. They loathe conservatives. The SP ideology supports the radical gay agenda (which includes same-sex marriage), abortion on demand, euthanasia, legalized drugs, and is openly hostile to any forms of Christianity. Is it any wonder that the younger generation has lost its moral compass? (Read Spring heartbreak [5]) SP’s have got their fingers in every pie. Their bony digits are in our educational system, the news media and every aspect of entertainment. Even mainline churches have adopted their social and political agenda.

News flash! A Christian’s worldview should come from the Bible not from Hollywood! Authentic evangelical Christianity contends that “absolute moral truth exists; such truth is defined in the Bible; God is the all-knowing and all-powerful creator and ruler of the universe; faith in Jesus Christ is the only means to salvation; Satan is a real being; Jesus Christ lived a sinless life on earth; and all of the principles taught in the Bible are true and accurate.”[6]

Evangelicals should be getting their marching orders from the King of Kings, not from the unprincipled liberal media – and certainly not from the morally bankrupt Hellywood elite!

The number of professed Christians that know little or nothing about their Lord and Master, Jesus Christ, or about the Bible – or even how God wants His people to conduct their lives – is staggering! God expects believers to obey Him. Obeying Christ’s commands is a must do. He is the Master of your soul. You are not.

Anyone who is not sure what Christ wants from them should take a few minutes to read through the pages of 1 John. The Apostle lays out God’s plan in a no holds barred fashion – and he leaves no wiggle room. 1 John 2:3-6 says, “We know that we have come to know him if we obey his commands. The man who says, ‘I know him,’ but does not do what he commands is a liar, and the truth is not in him. But if anyone obeys his word, God’s love is truly made complete in him. This is how we know we are in him: Whoever claims to live in him must walk as Jesus did.” Further, “God is light; in him there is no darkness at all. If we claim to have fellowship with him yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not live by the truth. But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin” (1 John 1:5-7). See? No wiggle room.

Make no mistake about it. God has set down rules (as all fathers should) for His children to take to heart. And Father God can be mighty strict! He cannot be manipulated, so forget about trying. He doesn’t compromise either.

It should be easy to tell Christian kids from the unsaved, but it’s not. This is an indictment on moms and dads who have botched the job. More and more parents are leaving God’s admonition to “train a child in the way he should go” up to Sunday school teachers, youth pastors, even grandparents. According to a recently released study on raising children that was conducted by the Barna Group, some parents “take the path of the least resistance.” In this approach, “parents do whatever comes naturally to the parent, as influenced by cultural norms and traditions. The objective is to keep everyone – parent, child, and others – as happy as possible, without having the process of parenting dominate other important or prioritized aspects of the parent’s life.”[7]

Hence kids are headed the wrong way down a dangerous one-way street. Kids need direction – and they need supervision!

There’s also trial-and-error parenting, which Barna says is a common alternative. “This approach is based on the notion that every parent is an amateur at raising children, there are no absolute guidelines to follow, and that the best that parents can do is to experiment, observe outcomes, and improve based upon their successes and failures in child rearing. In this incremental approach, the goals of parenting are to continually improve and to perform better than most other parents.”

This is the “no backbone” approach to parenting.

In his survey Barna found that “revolutionary parenting” was the least common approach. “Such nurturing requires the parent to take God’s words on life and family at face value, and to apply those words faithfully and consistently.”

The key to successful parenting is to be “consistent.” In other words, follow through with your threats/promises. Parents must say what they mean and mean what they say. The Bible does not encourage wishy-washy parenting. Love means never having to say, “OK, you win!” to your offspring.

Children have excellent minds, an enormous potential for learning, and soak up information like sponges. Kids want to learn new things! Sadly, most parents are under the misconception that their children really don’t want to learn about the Bible. My question is this: if they’re not learning Scripture, how are they supposed to identify error when they come across it? Paul says Christians are to, “demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God and we take captive every thought and make it obedient to Christ” (2 Cor. 10:5).

Biblical illiteracy is a huge problem, and parents need solutions. Author and speaker for Summit Ministries, Chuck Edwards, offers this advice: “Teach students that Christianity is a comprehensive world and life view. This means explaining the reality of God’s truth in every area: from philosophy and science, ethics and economics, to psychology, sociology, law and, yes, even politics. In this way, no matter what course a student takes, he or she will be able to discern when the professor is presenting an anti-biblical bias.”[8]
